Pacers at She Strides

She Strides pacers are experienced members of our club who volunteer their time to guide and motivate others during our sessions.

What is a Pacer?

Each pacer receives dedicated training to help them support the community in the best and safest way possible. This training includes essential knowledge in pacing techniques, encouraging inclusive participation, and responding to the needs of runners at different levels.

 

Pacing also includes supporting the ladies who are new to running and may need to walk part of their run when they are starting out. Our pacers are there to ensure that no one is left behind and that everyone feels welcome, safe, and confident in their progress.

 

Health and safety are a priority in every session. All our pacers are briefed on safety procedures and are familiar with the route. In addition, basic first aid awareness is included in pacer training, so they are prepared to respond appropriately in case of any incidents or emergencies.
